Elie Ngomseu Mambou

I am a young researcher passionate about technology, creativity and innovation. My research interests include but not limited to improving constrained channel coding based on machine learning-aided decoders and efficient forward error correction codes such as polar codes, turbo codes or low-density parity-check (LDPC) codes.

The constrained channel coding has found applications in several fields such as magnetic and optical recording devices, detection and correction of unidirectional errors, cable transmissions, noise attenuation in VLSI systems, etc. However, our target application is on visible light communication (VLC). VLC is a short range optical wireless communication (OWC) through light beam. Advantages of VLC/Li-Fi technology include low cost of deployment, higher security, lower interference, 10000 times bigger unregulated bandwidth compared to RF systems.
